Congo fire

Congo fire…

An electric carpet of deep emerald-green Dioptase crystals scattered across sparkling Quartz from the famed Sanda, Kimbedi area, Mindouli District, Republic of Congo (Brazzaville). Pieces from this locality are legendary for producing some of the most intensely saturated dioptase colors on earth, and this one absolutely glows from every angle.

The contrast here is unreal — razor sharp glassy dioptase nestled among icy quartz points with that rich velvety green that almost looks backlit. Even as a compact cabinet piece, it has massive visual impact and that unmistakable Congo aesthetic advanced collectors chase.

One of those specimens that instantly grabs your attention the second light hits it. Pure mineral eye candy.

Dioptase specimen.
