Illinois blurple perfection in razor-thin form

This Minerva No. 1 Fluorite is pure Cave-In-Rock magic—paper-thin cubic growth with insanely sharp edges and zoning that feels almost painted in. Deep electric violet wraps the outer edges while soft honeyed cores glow from within, creating that legendary Illinois contrast collectors never stop chasing.

The translucency on this one is next level… light pours through it like stained glass, revealing layer after layer of phantom-like structure and delicate stepped growth across the faces. Every angle hits differently, shifting between bold saturation and soft internal glow.

Elegant. Fragile. Absolutely loaded with character.

Classic Minerva material at a level that’s becoming harder and harder to lock down—especially with this kind of color, sharpness, and presence.

A true Illinois beauty.

Fluorite specimen from Minerva No. 1 Mine, Hardin County, Illinois, USA.
