Golden hour locked inside a crystal
An absolute Denton Mine classic—razor-edged fluorite cubes with that legendary Cave-In-Rock zoning… rich, saturated yellow cores blazing from within, wrapped in deep violet edges that frame the piece like stained glass. The translucency here is next level, lighting up every internal step and growth pattern, while subtle natural etching adds that raw, untouched character.
Tiny flashes of chalcopyrite pepper the surface, giving just the right metallic contrast against the warm glow and cool violet tones.
Provenance is just as strong as the aesthetics:
Ex. Harris Precht Jr. Collection (no. 409), originally acquired from Rick Russell in the early 1980s.
Old-school Illinois material with serious history—this is the kind of piece that checks every box for collectors.
