BLUE ZONING LIKE THIS IS WHY MINERVA NO. 1 IS LEGENDARY.
This one is an absolute BANGER.
A spectacular Fluorite from the legendary Minerva No. 1 Mine, Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois — with some seriously next-level color zoning packed into one crystal.
The outer edges flash that unmistakable icy electric blue, transitioning through deep purple and violet before exploding into a glowing golden-yellow honey core. The contrast is ridiculous.
And that sharp cubic geometry makes the zoning even crazier. Look straight through the crystal and you get layer after layer of color — almost like a perfectly framed window into the growth history of the fluorite.
Blue. Purple. Yellow. Honey. Every angle hits differently.
This is exactly the kind of Illinois Fluorite I’m always hunting — killer color, dramatic zoning, sharp form and that unmistakable Minerva character.
