An absolutely killer Fluorite from the Denton Mine, Hardin County, Illinois — stacked with beautifully defined cubes and incredible zoning running through blue, purple, yellow and warm orange tones.
The main crystal is the star: glassy faces, sharp cubic architecture, and layer after layer of color that looks completely different as the light moves through it. Classic Illinois fluorite with serious character.
And the provenance makes it even better — ex Richard Helsel Collection. Helsel is a documented collector whose specimens include other classic Illinois fluorites, adding another layer of history to this piece.
