This is exactly why I’m so obsessed with Illinois fluorite.

An absolutely super-special Fluorite with Calcite from the legendary Annabel Lee Mine, showing an incredible mix of orange, purple and blue that completely changes as the light moves through it.

The color zoning is wild — deep violet and electric blue along the edges transitioning into warm orange tones through the center. Then you have that dramatic Calcite perched across the top, giving the specimen an almost sculptural look.

It’s the combination that gets me: color, contrast, architecture and character. You don’t see Annabel Lee pieces with this look every day, and that uniqueness is exactly what makes this one so special to me.
