DENTON MINE ZONING ON FULL DISPLAY

DENTON MINE ZONING ON FULL DISPLAY

Another absolute beauty from the Denton Mine, Harris Creek Mining Sub-District, Hardin County, Illinois — and this one is all about the COLOR and ZONING.

A killer arrangement of stacked and interlocking Fluorite cubes showing gorgeous purple, lavender and golden-yellow zoning throughout. Hold it to the light and those colors absolutely come alive, revealing layer after layer inside the crystals.

I love the architecture on this piece — cubes growing in every direction, subtle stepped faces, incredible transparency in areas, and those darker accents giving the whole specimen even more depth and contrast.

Classic Illinois Fluorite with the kind of complex zoning that makes you keep turning it in your hand to see what else is hiding inside.

Denton Mine never disappoints.
