MINERVA NO. 1 — TRI-COLOR PLUS
Now THIS is some serious Minerva color.
Another incredible Fluorite from Minerva Mine No. 1, Hardin County, Illinois, but this one takes the color zoning to another level. Deep saturated purple and violet, flashes of electric blue, warm golden-yellow and amber, with hints of pink-lilac coming through the outer zones.
Calling it tri-color almost doesn’t do it justice. This is TRI-COLOR PLUS.
Backlighting unlocks the entire specimen—the warm interior starts glowing while those cooler purple, blue and lilac zones explode around the edges. Add the sharp cubic geometry and overlapping crystal growth, and the piece has incredible depth from every direction.
This is what makes the great Illinois fluorites so special. The color isn’t just on the surface—it’s built into generations of crystal growth, creating natural layers that reveal themselves as the light moves through.
Purple. Blue. Lilac. Gold. Amber. One crystal. Pure Minerva magic.
