AJOITE IN QUARTZ — MESSINA MAGIC

AJOITE IN QUARTZ — MESSINA MAGIC

There is something absolutely mesmerizing about Ajoite in Quartz, and this beauty from the legendary Messina Mine, Limpopo, South Africa shows exactly why.

Those incredible electric turquoise-blue Ajoite inclusions appear almost suspended inside the Quartz, creating vivid bursts of color beneath the surface. Against the transparency of the crystal, the blue seems to glow from within—like little pools of tropical water trapped inside the Quartz.

Messina material has become iconic among collectors, and specimens displaying strong, visible Ajoite inclusions have a presence all their own. I especially love how the color is concentrated in distinct zones on this piece, giving you something different to discover as you move it through the light.

Millions of years of pressure, chemistry, heat, and chance—and somehow nature creates THIS.

Earth’s art at its finest.
