HERKIMER SCEPTER PERFECTION

HERKIMER SCEPTER PERFECTION

Now THIS is a killer New York classic.

An incredible Herkimer Diamond Quartz scepter on matrix with Calcite from the Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, Herkimer County, New York — and the composition on this piece is just spectacular.

That commanding dark, glassy Quartz scepter rises dramatically from the matrix, surrounded by sharp Calcite crystals and additional Quartz growth. The contrast, luster, crystal form and overall architecture give this specimen an almost sculptural presence.

I absolutely love Herkimers with character, and this one has it everywhere you look. A beautiful example of nature building its own miniature work of art — straight out of one of New York’s legendary mineral regions.
