This exceptional 17.51 gram tourmaline from the legendary Burkhard’s Pocket, Pederneira Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil is one of those crystals. As I rotate it against my computer screen at my desk, the crystal comes alive—deep forest greens melting into vivid raspberry pinks with incredible transparency and internal glow.
The sharp termination, elegant color zoning, and beautifully balanced proportions make this a true collector’s crystal. Pederneira has produced some of the world’s most iconic tourmalines, and pieces with this combination of color, aesthetics, and crystal quality continue to become harder to find.
