A FROZEN MASTERPIECE, SCULPTED BY NATURE.
Some aquamarines are beautiful.
Others become benchmarks for what the Medina locality is capable of producing.
This extraordinary 110.60 gram etched Aquamarine from the legendary Medina region of Minas Gerais, Brazil is one of those unforgettable crystals. Recovered in 1998, it comes from one of the most celebrated periods of Medina production—a time that yielded some of the finest aquamarines ever discovered.
Its mesmerizing icy blue color, exceptional transparency, and dramatic natural etching give the crystal an almost sculptural presence. Every surface tells a story, with intricate textures and sharp crystal faces that seem to shift with every angle. The more you study it, the more details emerge.
Finding an older Medina aquamarine with this combination of size, preservation, color, and natural artistry has become exceptionally difficult. Pieces like this are a reminder that nature creates masterpieces only once—and the hunt to find them is what continues to ignite me.
