This newly acquired Streep Mine smoky amethyst scepter from Namibia is everything I love in a single specimen. The elegant scepter growth, rich smoky crown fading into saturated purple amethyst, and incredible glassy luster already make it a standout—but the real magic is hidden inside.

Suspended within the crystal are two enhydros, preserving tiny pockets of ancient water trapped millions of years ago during the crystal’s formation. Scattered throughout are vivid red hematite inclusions, adding fiery flashes of color against the deep violet core and giving the specimen even more character and depth.

Every angle reveals another surprise. Every beam of light tells another chapter of its geological story.

This is exactly why the hunt never gets old.
