This extraordinary smoky amethyst scepter from the Little Gem Mine in Jefferson County, Montana is everything I look for in a collector specimen. Rich, saturated amethyst rises from a smoky quartz core, crowned by an elegant scepter termination that gives the crystal incredible balance and presence.

The color, luster, and sculptural form come together in a way that’s almost impossible to capture until you see it moving in the light. Every rotation reveals new phantoms, subtle zoning, and natural architecture that make this piece feel like a work of art created over millions of years.
