This Illinois fluorite may not be the biggest piece in the room, but the character and provenance are absolutely there. Beautiful soft lavender-to-deep violet zoning flows through the crystal with that unmistakable Minerva #1 Mine glow collectors chase. The translucency, stepped cubic structure, and subtle internal phantom-like zoning give it serious old-school Illinois energy.
What really elevates this one are the included chalcopyrite crystals suspended inside the fluorite — tiny metallic flashes frozen within the cube adding texture and contrast to the piece. Under light, the fluorite almost glows from within while the chalcopyrite inclusions add that extra layer of mineralogical interest.
