This Southern Illinois fluorite absolutely comes alive in transmitted light. Deep grape-purple cubes stacked with sharp hopper growth, insane glassy luster, and glowing golden honey zones hidden beneath the surface. The contrast between the saturated blurple fluorite and the oxidized chalcopyrite-rich interface is just unreal.

An old former North Star Minerals specimen from the legendary Rosiclare Level, Crystal Mine, Spar Mountain Area, Cave-in-Rock District, Southern Illinois — one of the most iconic fluorite regions ever mined in the United States. Pieces from this horizon are getting harder and harder to find, especially documented examples with this kind of aesthetics, translucency, and structure.

Excellent hopper texture, killer cube stacking, and classic near-surface orebody characteristics throughout. Measures approximately 2.5 x 6 x 6 cm and displays beautifully from every angle.
