Lead Hill color explosion
This Lead Hill Mine fluorite is pure Cave-in-Rock magic—glowing golden-yellow cores layered with vivid purple, soft pink, and flashes of electric blue zoning, all wrapped into sharp, glassy cubes. And just to push it over the top… accented with brassy chalcopyrite, adding that metallic pop and contrast collectors love.
The Lead Hill Mine, part of the legendary Cave-in-Rock Sub-District in Hardin County, is known for producing some of the most vibrant and complexly zoned fluorites in the Illinois–Kentucky Fluorspar District. Pieces from here often carry that wild, multi-color layering with incredible luster and crisp form—exactly what made this region world famous among fluorite collectors.
This one checks every box—color, contrast, association, and presence. It’s bright, dynamic, and changes with every shift in light… the kind of piece that keeps you coming back for another look.
For the fluorite lovers… this is an absolute heater.
